One day, on my way back from dinner, my cousin, brother and I were having an, in all likelihood, very strange conversation. My brother says something, and my cousin replies "Did you just say 'have your pig and eat it too'?". Now, how could someone not be inspired by something like that? Well, the first thought that popped into my head when I heard it was a reasuring image of a boy and his pig being friends, and guess what?! He gets to eat it too! Yay! And thus Mr. Picso was born.

The Name: I imagine at least one person is wondering where the name came from. Well, at first I thought "He is rather pixelated, I'll name him Mister Pix-o" the thought that immediately followed was "That's really gimmicky." After promptly agreeing with myself, I decided to change the spelling a bit, and that's where the name came from.

The picsoisms featured on this page are the original picsoisms. Here's the story behind them. When I originally made the Mr. Picso comics, they were on an older computer of mine. That computer exploded in a fiery display. Needless to say, I took it in to see if they could fix it. They had good news and bad news. The good news was that I got a new computer for free because the old was still in warranty. The bad news, I lost all of my files. Well, so much for Mr. Picso. A few years later I had an idea for a comic (Picsoism #1), I thought "Hey, I can use Mr. Picso for it" and so I did. After making that comic I felt inspired to at least redo the original picsoism (Have Your Pig) and so the Empire of Picso was being rebuilt. After years of having forgotten I had made the original Picsoisms at all, I found something. A glimmering gem of hope. A printed sheet with the original Picsoisms on it. Truly this was a miracle. After much rejoicing and procrastination, I scanned them and have now featured them here. Enjoy.
